And Why Faith-Filled Friendships Matter
Life has a rhythm seasons of sunshine and seasons of storm. Some days feel like mountaintop experiences, full of gratitude and answered prayers. Others feel more like valleys, where everything feels uncertain and heavy. Through it all, I’ve learned the beauty and power of leaning on Jesus in every season, not just in the desperate moments, but in the joyful ones too.

Leaning on Jesus in Every Season
There have been times when the only prayer I could whisper was, “Jesus, help.” Maybe you’ve been there to: when you’re facing a diagnosis, a financial blow, a broken relationship, or just the weight of being a parent pressing down harder than usual. In those moments, Jesus has been my shelter. His presence doesn’t always change the circumstance, but it changes me. He calms my spirit. He reminds me that I’m not alone, that He is working even when I can’t see it.
Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” That verse has been an anchor for me during some of the hardest seasons.
Don’t Forget Jesus in the Good Times
But here’s what I’ve also come to realize leaning on Jesus in every season means trusting Him not only when we’re struggling, but also when life is good. When prayers are answered, when our homes are filled with laughter, when everything feels like it’s falling into place those are sacred moments to draw even closer to Him in gratitude.
It’s easy to get comfortable and forget our dependence on Him when things are going well. But I never want to take His blessings for granted. Every breath, every joy, every moment of peace is a gift from Him.
The Blessing of Faith-Filled Friendships
One of the greatest blessings Jesus has given me, especially in the hard seasons, has been friends who share my faith. Friends who pray with me and for me. Friends who remind me of God’s promises when I forget. Friends who show up not with easy answers, but with truth, love, and scripture.
We weren’t made to walk this journey alone. Proverbs 27:17 tells us, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” There is strength in surrounding yourself with friends who are also leaning on Jesus. We help carry each other’s burdens. We celebrate the victories together and hold each other up when one of us is too tired to stand.
A Word for You
Whether you’re in a valley today or on a mountaintop, I want to encourage you: leaning on Jesus in every season is not just a comfort, it’s a calling. Let Him be your strength, your peace, your constant. And if you don’t already have faith-filled friends in your life, ask God to bring them to you. He is faithful to provide community for those who seek it.
And if you do have those friends, reach out to them today. Encourage them. Pray with them. Thank God for them. Because walking with Jesus is beautiful, but walking with Him together? That’s powerful.
