1. Stainless steel drinking cups
We know you might be looking for something spill-proof, but we also look for plastic free as much as possible. These stainless steel drinking cups with silicone straws are a big hit in our house. The kids tend not to have a lot of spills with these, as they are always sitting when drinking either nicely on the couch or at the table.
2. Glass Food Containers
We have left all plastic food containers behind and everything we store all the food in our home is in glass containers. That goes for baby food we made as well. Now you don’t have to make your baby’s food to use these, as you could store small amounts of any type of food in them. So if you do baby led weaning/eating, then if your baby/toddler goes to daycare their foods for the day can be stored in these containers. They’re just a smaller size, which works portion wise for baby/toddlers.
3. Silicone suction plates
These suction plates are nice as well since they have the dividers in them. But if you don’t need/want dividers then check out these ones. Suction plates are great so the food does not go flying or fed to the dogs once your child is done eating. These plates can be used even for your preschool aged child as well.
4. Silicone feeding spoons
Well, if you have plates you’re going to need spoons as well. We like these silicone ones as they’re soft so if a baby bites down it won’t hurt their gums as much, and if they throw them it won’t hurt anyone around them. Also, babies can use them to chew on as a teething toy.
5. Baby bottles
Baby number five never used a bottle…seriously. Eva did not go anywhere without him and that’s just the way it worked out. But we did have these glass bottles in our shopping cart just in case we got a chance for a date night.
6. Stainless steel bowls
All of our kids really like these bowls, they have become their favorite. They’re stainless steel and clean really easily. They are a good depth as well for soups, fruits/veggies, and pantry snacks. They’re light enough for the ‘baby’ to carry around.
7. Stainless Steel Fork
These forks (and spoons) are stainless steel tips with silicone handles. So your child can easily grip them and feed themselves. They are also dishwasher safe.
8. Stainless steel cups without straws
These are for when you think your toddler might be ready to have a cup without a lid and straw. These can be used and have held up great as the kids get older. Great thing is they won’t break if accidently dropped. Glass cups are what we tend to use for us adults, but the kids of all ages always use stainless steel cups.
