We’re sure you are wondering what this Meixsell Living is all about…
Welcome to Meixsell Living, a place where we share our best parenting recommendations, our hearts for Jesus, homeschool life and some simple things we do to live less toxic at home.

Hey, we’re Eva and Matt Meixsell! We are parents of five children and live in the Sunshine State. Eva has lived here her whole entire life, while Matt moved from Pennsylvania when he was about 15 years old. We met when Eva found Matt on MySpace in 2006, asked a friend about him and the rest, they say, is history.
Throughout this journey of parenthood we have had family and friends always ask our advice/opinion on things; guess having five kids people think you are an expert! Ha! Matt works full time in law enforcement and Eva is at home with the kids full time. There are two kids in homeschool, one in public school and two who are not school age, yet.
We hope this blog will become a resource and a community of parents from all walks of life, coming here to see what we have tried (never medical advice), to laugh with us or at us, and just grow towards making this world a better place for everyone. Finally, we believe in God and will always incorporate our faith into our lives; but there is something here for everyone.
Excited to have you join us on this journey!

Sophia
The first born of the Meixsell Crew and the only girl. She enjoys painting, drawing on her iPad, baking, softball, softball and more softball. She is proud of her collection of over 30 softball tournament shirts. Sophia loves to help out with her youngest brother, Elijah. Her and her brother Liam are homeschooled.

Liam
Liam can be seen as the helper of the Meixsell Crew. He is always the first to jump in when his siblings or cousins need anything; always constantly moving and thinking. Additionally, his goal is to either become a pastor or join the military, although he has stated he just might do both. He is getting more serious about his soccer career and has recently joined a travel soccer club.

Ian
Our man of few words. The Bubs attends school and started in an early intervention class at age 3. We had him tested and he had major delays in speech, social, and emotional skills. He was in an ESE Pre-K class for two years and has completed kindergarten successfully with an IEP helping him along the way. We have seen a major improvement in all areas where he is delayed, thanks to his teachers, specialists at his school, support at home, and less toxic living. There is nothing that will or can hold our Bubs back from what he wants to do. He recently played soccer for the first time and we watched how he put himself out there more so then the game. At the present time, he aspires to be a firefighter when he grows up.

Declan
The Duck is our 4th born and he is just something else. Each of our kids has their own personalities, but this kid…he just goes full force into everything he does (including walls). He has the most piercing eyes and gives the best hugs. He will be a force to be reckoned with.

Elijah
Our youngest, chunky boy has been through a lot in his life already. He was the first and only homebirth (highly recommended) and shortly after Hurricane Ian devastated our community he got sick. Sixteen days in the hospital, three surgeries to wash out the bacteria and 6 weeks of antibiotics. But our baby boy is doing amazing. He just completed physical therapy and now we wait and pray for his femur head to grow back. He is the happiest toddlers and loves all of his siblings so much.

Bo and Boomer
Our trusty dogg-o’s. Bo, who is a Bloodhound mix, believes he is a small lap dog. Boomer (a very confused American Staffordshire Terrier mix) is a stage 10 clinger. They enjoy short walks from their dog bed to the yard to sunbathe, being fed 24/7, and barking in their sleep.
